A New Work in Progress
Meet Annunziata,
named after my mother..
there is a small likeness in this piece that I sense belongs to her.
she is coming along so far...

More works in progress
on the easel..some you have seen before
and some new..
I could spend my life on the easel....
SIX MINUTE PAINTINGS
Panic Art
Ingredients for 6 min paintings
Think quick.
Abandon the mind
Fly with your spirit
Let the pulse of now guide you..
Let your brush become an arrow that knows the way
See what unravels..
Brushes down...6 min is up!
Breathe!
Recently a friend of mine, asked me to try 6 min paintings..
Music on, she chose some racing-fast classical music..
Simply create..whatever happens in the 6 min....
*
To me..the experience felt like a Creational SEED..a spark!
Whether it becomes a finished painting in your eyes..or is simply a NEW SEED captured with potential to work from later.. It was fun...
It feels like a total Creative-rush..that captures something simple and pure in these little quick paintings. ..the energy is alive and there is something magical about it.
Yellow Lion in another Purple Polkadot vase.
The 5 min mark...for this swaying bird of color...
I added more strokes of white to his wings in the Final min!!
This week the first one I did....is the Grey bird..
Then the colored Bird..
then the Little Lion/Sunflower
The Grey Bird was most meaningful to me this week
It represents someone I love very much that is going through a tough time.
The bird at first seemed sad.....like it was struggling..and then after the second Colorful Bird came...the Grey bird felt more joyful......like a fledgling about to fly.
Hope is alive.
Wishing you a Beautiful week full of Creativity and Magic
Thanks to everyone for always visiting...and sharing your creative spirit with me..

I'm still loving your six minute paintings although your true personality seems to shine through the layers of your more complete works. You have so many works on the go. It must feel like such a great achievement when you finish one.
I have to admit, dear Victoria, that just reading about your fast paintings, make me feel slightly anxious. In a funny way - I can feel the seconds ticking until the timer goes off. ;-) You truly create beautiful little paintings in just 6 minutes!!
Your works in progress are stunning! Especially seeing them all together in a group like that. You make me want to go to my studio IMMEDIATELY and get busy!!
Much love, Silke
So beautiful as always! What a fabulous idea - six minute paintings! All of yours are so amazing. Especially the birds. Fabulous fabulous fabulous!!! :)
oh my goodness so much beauty, such talent you have!
...an interesting concept ~ your creature totems shine ~ with earth thundering clarity!...
...what lays hidden beyond the veil ~ surfaces for yoU ~ like no other paintings yoU would do ~ without the six minute duress...
...there are divine messages in each piece Victoria! ~ blessed be dear gentle kindred spirit!...
...xXx...
Just to let you know that the drawing challenge post is up on my blog if you would like to join in this week.
Cheers
Helen :)
It's so hard to believe that you did these paintings in just 6 minutes..you are so amazing. In reality, its good practice to pick up your brush and paint quickly..something I have never done!. Annunziata is coming along so beautifully and I look forward to seeing her finished!!

Wow, wonderful work- I LOVE the painting of your mother- I can see you in it too! And those 6 minute paintings are so brave- I think I'm too scared to do that with canvases, tho maybe using canvas PAPER could work for me!
Hugs,
Stephanie
