OMG, Victoria, I am just in awe as always when I come look at your art! You make me want to paint more and more and more! Victoria, thank you for sharing the step by step progress of one of your wonderful paintings. A lot of care and attention seem to go into everything you do. Your latest piece, the tree wizard, is so alive with the lights balanced against the darks in the painting. I love the eyes. Your other WIP are also beautiful and I keep coming back to see more every week.

I've missed you, sorry its been so long since I visited last! As always visiting your blog and your art is a wonderful heartfelt experience.
The niece in the first painting looks so at peace in the knowledge that she is loved and safe in her aunt's arms. 'Embrace' is such a lovely word and your painting reflects this comfort.
But oh my your tree spirit..!!!!!! He has such a soft kind soulful personality that I'm a little in love with him. Your tree/forest spirits/souls are always my favourites. They speak to me because I think my love of trees feels expressed in these paintings. And they somehow make my spirit soar. I would love to have these images in maybe tarot card form to meditate on - they truly fill me with inspiration & hope.
Sorry to gush - but I felt moved to write how I feel.

Love everything here! Well what else is new, I always do. Great job on the tree wizard, the WIP lady (even the kitty's personality comes through) and the outdoor kitties. I also love the woman in your last post with the parasol. Great detailing on that one.
The wizard has such personality! He exudes roots and wonder and leaves, green and mossy, old and wise, mystic, mythical, powerful, stoic..
More great paintings from your, Victoria. :) I like how you do your hair. So have a curious question. What's the average amount of coats you do sometimes painting something to get it just right? I painted Morris the Mouse (the mouse itself) like 9 times before his color turned out the way I liked. hahaha :)
