Here is how she began....
a young soul...
I felt drawn to use
my white charcoal pencil
sketching
against the deep swirls
of brown colors
on the canvas
she began to take form...
some soft fleshtones..shining through
more charcoal..sepias..browns....

Glowing skin..
She slowly comes to life..
she is coming along.....

I'd love to be on your brain for just a day...your work is so rich and each piece paints a world of its own!
The white charcoal gives it a special touch I think! She's lovely so far.

What a great technique! I have no experience with painting (or art!) so I am unfamiliar with the technique of painting with white charcoal against a darker background. I love how she came out though!
