The Dancer
Beneath
the Sea
her tears
sit atop the water
floating like lily pads and seaweed
an invisible lantern she holds
under blue stars
and a dying moon
she called out to me...
the dancer
beneath
the sea
This painting from last year
began calling out to me again..!
As well as all my Unfinished dancer paintings

You have totally captured the spirit of the dance studio. Fabulous work again Victoria. x
She's another beauty. It's funny the way paintings call - suddenly they are ready!
Everything is so special my friend! I love the blue in the dancer beneath the sea! I don't think I have ever seen you use that blue before! Very striking! Blessings my friend ;o)

The dancer beneath the sea. What a poetic painting! I hope you finish this one soon Victoria.
I like the fluid movements and the colors a bit agressive. Really nice! Bisous

when I come here it feels like i'm transported to another world, the blue is so calming of course and the inspiration is amazing, this piece today is wonderful, her eyes, her eyes, wow wow wow!
The words just make this so profoundly beautiful,
They are so beautiful already. It is like as Laurie says, being transported to another world. Awesome work kiki and thanks for sharing. HAPPY HOLIDAYS and take care.
Your work is always so other worldly. It's so clear that your spirituality is so much a driving force of your art. I love the dancer under the sea - her eyes are so sad and wise.
Your Dancer under the Sea is so beautiful. The colors of her outfit are vivid and beautiful, Victoria. I love the expression on her face. You are such a fine artist. Your proportions are right on and the shadows are just perfect. Lovely addition to your blog. Faye
LOVE the depth of the colours of The Dancer under the Sea. Gorgeous! The other dancers are looking great so far - looking forward to seeing them finished.
Beautiful dancer, lovely tie-in to the water, I think it adds mystery. Hope to see the finished works of those others soon!

She is just stunning, Victoria! You can almost feel her floating in the water so serenely. And I just adore that last name of Invisibel. I simply cannot wait to see her finished. BEAUTIFUl works, dear friend!
Beautiful! I can nearly hear the water lapping about her. I love the colors together, they really add a surreal feel to the painting. It's wonderful that you are working on some older paintings that are calling to you. I love it when that happens :)
xx Jaime
Beautiful! I love the way the blue strokes show through like water or ocean waves. It is fun the way paintings dance in and out of our creative space, waiting for the right season to surface and sing to our souls to complete them. Happy creating!
Your paintings and words are magical!
Isn't it amazing how a painting, or a subject will elbow it's way to the front and demand your attention? I love this dancer.
