The Winged being..

You appeared upon my shoulder..
full of scratches and lines..
A ghost from within...
your feathers bloomed
you were once invisible...
yet I knew you were there somehow
You were made of blue tears and white snow
poems from the deep
where I traveled alone..
and then I marveled at the sight of you
changing into black lightening
purple mystic hues
you transformed me..
you set me free from the inside...
so now
I do the same for you..
be free..
I am not alone now..
I have been cloaked in the safety of black wings
Gifts given to me
I wear feathers of wisdom
beauty and magic..
feathers of empowered light guide me
The Winged Being
came
like scratches and lines..
pulsing through the canvas
and flying through the brush
to break straight through my soul
and
set my spirit afire
and free
