For me the Raven does feel like life, death, growth and journey - or shedding of the old and bringing in the new. Many meanings!
When I did oil painting I had often painted Ravens in my work, walking up towers and watching over things. I even have one with a black bird, a boat with a transitioning bird laying in it (dead) and a EGG representing the rebirth.
Your work goes deep, and your sharing seems to connect right to me, sitting here.
