I have been creating for some time

This one is not quite done....it is getting there..

I await it's completion

This week For Inspiration Avenue

the Challenge was

H O P E

*

This old canvas spoke to me, I started it last summer,

and this week..I felt inspired to bring it to life.

The painting began to reveal it's story...

This is a story of

Hope and Healing

The old man feels broken and forgotten.

With the loss of his beautiful Love

he feels empty and without purpose.

*

He has forgotten the Beauty of Life

and how to renew his Sense of Purpose on the earth.

Meanwhile...

A Beautiful Red-haired Lady, a Healer, had a dream.

An old woman visited her and asked her to find her lost husband. 

To help heal his heart

and to help restore his HOPE

in life and in love and in living again.

 The Healer goes at once...and finds him sitting in the dark of an old house.

In this scene she places a Beautiful Red Heart onto his chest..

It begins to pulse and bring him back to life.

While he is recieving healing..

he feels a gift.

He has a vision and begins to understand

that it was his loving wife who sent the healer

and he is filled with Love and Hope again.

*

In his mind..He sees the symbol of the Green Leaf 

and he knows whenever he sees this... that his wife is near his side.

The Green Leaf is full of New Life and Renewal.

*

He begins to fly with the inspiring energy of HOPE

and walks a New Path of Purpose

The Power of Hope and the Magic of Love
Can Heal and Restore anything
when we remember..we are Whole.

The Dreaming Palette:Cobalt Blue

This week my Palette has been Dreaming in b l u e s

and more specifically

in

C o b a l t   B l u e ..

( a recent birthday gift..thankyou!)

It embodies a soft richness

This color can take you

to lightness..reflection,

water

and

sky

or

d e e p e r

into the darkening spectrum

of Mystique

this medieval-esque glass is

in harmony with the essence of cobalt blue

it also echoes with the beauty

of this Ring ...

Stone of Lapis Lazuli

Years ago my mother bought me this ring..

Lapis Lazuli holds special powers

and it is very special to me

Do you dream in blues..?

Blue is Healing

Mystical

Peaceful

Can create a sense of space and open-ness

What's off and on the easel?

Starlings and Sunflowers

It is not often I paint flowers..

yet the

Summery Magic

can cast a spell sometimes..

I would love a vase

in that sea-blue-green color...

maybe one day I'll find one?

This painting  is summer-simplicity...

with two fluffy sunflowers.

a few zinnias adorning the scene

and then..

these two baby

Starlings

decided to join in 

and sit atop the flowers

This painting feels a bit like autumn too.. a blending!

I love how powerful and cheerful flowers can be..

and I love

S t a r l i n g s..

and how they are spotted with polkadots and stars

across thier bodies!

Such magical souls! I am happy they joined me!

This painting has changed a bit.

it is still being tweaked and livened up!

but so far I am enjoying

 Starlings and Sunflowers and look forward to it's completion

Victoria's Black Madonna

Whats  off the easel? 
....Victoria's Black Madonna

When I was a little girl I was told about the Black Madonna
Maybe you were told too?

I was given a special little miniture folded card with a picture of her inside
It was my first time seeing this mystical and mysterious lady.
I was told she would protect me always and especially if Iever needed her.

Some years ago this Mysterious Woman began whispering into the canvas..I knew who she was right away and I was surprised..why in the world would I be painting the Black Madonna?. I was touched..and wanted to honor her however she wanted to come through..

For thos who celebrate her or experience her in other forms of the Divine Feminine or Goddess figures I hope you enjoy her..and feel the gentle power of her presence.

Painting her has been a long venture..her "revealing " was slow to bloom and there was something she was holding in the scene that wasn't quite appearing yet..what ever would it be?

I carefully painted her as she asked..the colors rich and regal, her eyes and face soft and loving, her presence enveloping and safe, her heart area draped in the starry sky..(another way to feel close to her presence looking at the starry night skies) .

She wanted you to feel as though she would gather you gently into the veil and keep you safe. She was like a sacred place where one could rest awhile, become strong and transform yet again.

I patiently painted her..a thread at a time..

 At that time in my life..I didn't know it..but the the Black Madonna was appearing to me, but in another form! I had been going through a challenge and  I kept seeing a butterfly appear.....but it had a tattered, fractured wing.......it made me sad.... but it also made me feel Strengthened somehow...

This symbol of the Tattered Butterfly/Moth kept reappearing.

And one day...the painting was powerfully calling out to me for completion.....and it was then..when I was shown the final piece to the Black Madonnna............she revealed her Last Secret to me...

..in her arms and veil ...there it was.....she was holding  the powerful symbol of the Butterfly with the fractured wing!

It was then I knew she was the one visiting me all that time.

The Black Madonna came to represent to me... a symbol of Powerful Transformation, Enduring Strength and Renewed Empowerment.......... and that even though at times your Wing may feel tattered and fractured..to know you will come back even Stronger...........stronger than before.

The next time you see a Butterfly/Moth with a broken wing..it is the Black Madonna visiting you!

And if you ever feel like a Butterfly with a tattered wing...she wants you to know..the power and beauty of who you are..she wants you to know that you are safe, all is well..feel your power..


..she wants you to know..that you will come back stronger than before...and your Beautiful New World
will  Bloom and OPEN ...............
and you will FLY
with Shining Freedom....

What secrets are waiting for you?

What stories are carried in the strand of a paintbrush?

Can you hear them whisper?

What's on the Easel..The Easel never Sleeps

What's on the easel lately?..A Forest Nature King

A large panel I recieved as a gift..

has become this Wizardly figure

*

He is adorned with Butterfly Wings..

*

I call him the Butterfly Wizard

He is a Forest Nature King

and he has many tales to tell I am sure

I love when paintings are not yet finished..

They are in the Powerful-INbetween..

it is magical and exciting..walking between the worlds

*

What will they become ? Where will the painting lead me?

What secrets are being revealed..

Here is how he began..

*

All Cloaked in deep browns and burnt siennas

There was a quiet simplicity about it

*

This painting has transformed alot..

I allow him to Become exactly as he wishes

*

Have you ever noticed how much your creations

may transform from start to finish?

*

There are times when I feel compelled to take a photo

..something important in the piece calls out to me..

*

..and then I am so suprised later to see

how much it has transformed!

I await the ending of this piece

*

The cloak will be carefully tended to,

the trees will take shape

 and the butterfly wings and heavy lines will be softened..

the backdrop and sky will be smoothed out..

*

However the painting is meant to look...

it will simply be

I find it very freeing to look at unfinished paintings

I can see the raw vulnerable beauty in them somehow

I am not afraid of it..I embrace it

I am patient

I listen

I wait

*

In time ...this Nature King will lead me

to the place he knows within!

I cannot wait to meet him there

*
