For those afraid of canvas...
Don't be!
There are many I have met
that say they are afraid of canvas.
I would love to encourage you
and dispell this myth of fear...
Please don't be afraid...simply Begin!
It is truly
..s p a c e...
open space!
Free, Expanding and Beautiful space!
Are you afraid of open spaces?
Jump in and explore!
Try to conquer this fear
and simply fill the space
with beauty and magic..
expression.. and what you love
*
CONNECT
WITH IT
I love canvas..I run to it..
I sit with it...dream with it
I run my hands on it.
I feel stories and myths
and languages as I touch it
Sometimes..... I even walk with it ...
I even balance it on my head
....why?
I don't know...!!
I am curious..childlike
and excited when I am around it!
What I am trying to say..is..
don't be so frightened..
it is a window
waiting to be opened..nothing more.
*
Wow..all that white...
I have heard some say..they are scared
of how white it is!
If it is too stark white for you..
give it a warm glow, tint it a color you love..
then begin.
Just begin somewhere ...
trust yourself..have fun
be free..explore.
Think of it as an adventure!
*
Vastness/ Space
Also.. larger canvas can be fun..
exploring and expanding your creativity
into even "more space"..
Try it out if you haven't before..see where it takes you
*
It will expand your work in new ways
enhance your perception
and guide you even further into
exploring the realm of your art
and creative flow!
When we explore different realms in art..
we can
Experience
ourselves
IN new spaces
we have never been before...
You cannot meet yourself
inside this space
until you enter ..
Explore and discover
who you are
and what your art
Becomes
in that space
and in that expression!
Notice how your art
wants to flow..
how it behaves..
shifts and changes
It will Call you towards
new energies to weave with.
It will show you new spaces,
and ideas as it extends
into new directions
and your creations
will shapeshift you
into new realms of thinking
and expressing
your art!
Try New things..
Encounter New SPACE
This expands all levels of your art, your skills..
brings new insights
and creativity is heightened at a new level
*
It is amazing to experience new worlds
and how You create in those worlds..
*
The Invitation
Canvas..is the ultimate invitation..
you are invited just as you are..
you are free to create
with whatever World you wish..
The canvas belongs to you.
.and you to it..
Think of canvas
as an invitation
to your own inner space
and your own
creational world.
Be you
Create
Explore your joy!

Mmmmmm nice, very nice post. Very intense like you and your work kiki. I love white canvas. I look at it for days and then add color just to see the color and then it sits for more days. You are lucky to have suce wonderful talent. All your souls just jump out at you and pull you in. Thanks for the great post, awesome. Take care and have a great rest of the day. I have to go, I'm making mushrooms with green/red bell peppers, cabbage, onions, chili and then for the heck of it, I'm tossing in a can of mushroom soup. That may spoil it though.Tee hee. Take care.
Such a beautiful post!!! Enchanting as always. :) I love canvas - I adore painting directly on wood, but canvas is a lot of fun as well. Thank you so much for sharing more of your beauty today! xoxo Theresa

Thankyou Victoria for your happyness ideas and your invitacion into the art`s creations, the white it`s an adventure all the time. Kiss
I was leaping about in my chair reading this post - I love it!
This week I tackled that big white canvas and felt myself under such pressure that the end result had to be so perfect that in the end, I was never going to be happy with it.
Your post is a timely reminder that instead of focusing on what could have gone wrong, I should have just leapt in and enjoyed the wonder of the creation.
Don't know if you've been by my blog today, but I just added a special postscript to my latest post that you might like to read...
Yes, white canvas still scares me a little, I will be honest, but I remind myself just to begin...and let go of any expectations - I think that is the key. Enjoy your weekend my friend x
I love all of your brushes fanned out almost like magic wands- wondering where they will take you!
I love how you said "there is a jewel waiting inside each canvas"...it reminds me of how once when i was in art school and i made a lot of mistakes...but they were beautiful...and when I showed my friends I told them how it was not what i set out to do ..but what came when the rules went awry....some of my best work has been when things went wrong and the jewel was found...Beautiful words my talented friend...!
I am enjoying the deep rich colors in your post today...cranberry, merlot, burgandy, crimson etcetera. Canvas hmmm???
Thank you for your lovely encouragement to play with space, canvas and the spirit of creating!
As always, your post is beautiful and exciting- which do I love more, the words or the images, in this case, I think if you took one away, the other would be lessened. I enjoy the power of your words WITH the images you use to enhance the words....I love it!
And, as for me and canvases, I admit to occasionally falling prey to whiteout, or fear of the blank space.....but, I'm working on it!
hello!this is so inspiring...so many wonderful thought and ideas ran through my mind!the images are lovely and your words...just beautiful thank you:)
I love these words to describe the blank canvas: "explore" "run toward" "embrace"
Thanks for helping us all take a paradigm shift!
I adore turquoise as well- I love to pair it up with any earth tone for rustic powerful pieces. Just having returned from the southwest I saw an abundance of the color used in the native art. I like your idea of "color spells". Beautiful words of vision and inspiration Kiki.
I hope your day was superb! Creativity and joy I send to you!
